കൊട്ടാരക്കര നഗരസഭയിലെ തിരഞ്ഞെടുപ്പ് ഫലം പുറത്തുവരുമ്പോൾ എൽഡിഎഫ് വീണ്ടും അധികാരത്തിലെത്തിയിരിക്കുകയാണ്. ആകെയുള്ള 30 വാർഡുകളിൽ 17 വാർഡുകളിലും എൽഡിഎഫ് വിജയം നേടി. 7 വാർഡുകളിൽ മാത്രമാണ് യുഐഡിഎഫ് വിജയിച്ചത്. 5 വാർഡുകളിൽ ബിജെപിയും വിജയം നേടി. ഒരു വാർഡിൽ സ്വതന്ത്ര സ്ഥാനാർത്ഥിയാണ് വിജയിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നത്. 16ആം വാർഡായ കടലാവിളയിൽ നിന്നാണ് സ്വതന്ത്ര സ്ഥാനാർഥിയായ തോമസ് പി മാത്യു വിജയിച്ചത്.
സംസ്ഥാനത്ത് ഇന്ന് നടന്ന വോട്ടെണ്ണലിൽ ആദ്യമായി ഇലക്ഷൻ നടപടികൾ പൂർത്തിയാക്കിയതും കൊട്ടാരക്കര നഗരസഭയിലാണ്. കൊട്ടാരക്കര നഗരസഭയിൽ ഏറ്റവും കൂടുതൽ ഭൂരിപക്ഷത്തിൽ വിജയിച്ചത് പാലമൂട് വാർഡിൽ നിന്നുള്ള യുഡിഎഫ് സ്ഥാനാർത്ഥിയായിരുന്ന ഫൈസൽ ബഷീർ ആണ്. 471 വോട്ടുളുടെ ഭൂരിപക്ഷത്തിലാണ് ഫൈസൽ ബഷീർ വിജയിച്ചത്.

LDF Retains Power in Kottarakkara Municipality
The results of the Kottarakkara Municipality elections have been declared, confirming that the Left Democratic Front (LDF) has once again come to power. Out of the total 30 wards, the LDF secured victory in 17 wards, while the United Democratic Front (UDF) won 7 wards, and the BJP claimed 5. An independent candidate won in one ward — Thomas P. Mathew from the 16th ward, Kadalavila.
Kottarakkara Municipality became the first in the state to complete the counting process in today’s local body election results. The largest winning margin was recorded by Faizal Basheer, the UDF candidate from Palamoodu ward, who won with a majority of 471 votes.
With the election results announced, the LDF will continue to govern Kottarakkara Municipality, successfully retaining its administration for another term.
